Job opportunities have always been a top point for every country and in the UK it’s no exception. If you live in the UK, it’s easier to apply for any job you qualify for and get hired, if you are a foreigner seeking to come into the UK for job opportunities then there are some restrictions to it.
To move, live, and survive financially in the UK, you need a job, and for you to get the job you need a work visa. Getting a work visa is not a snap and go; you need to get hired by an employer who has a job opening on the shortage occupation list and is willing to prove that the job opportunity offered to you can not be filled in by a United Kingdom resident.
The employer must also have a license to sponsor foreign workers for a work visa and would need to assign you a certificate of sponsorship to qualify for a work visa. The visa category is now referred to as, ‘skilled worker visa’. Most of these foreign worker-sponsored employers are also willing to cover your travel and relocation expenses which you may or may not pay back to them. Now the company’s agreement to cover the expenses is determined by the company’s policy and contract agreement with employees.
Check out the video below for a list of the occupations and jobs on the shortage list that would get you the United Kingdom Visa.
